ORCID-CA Community Call Relaunch: Revisiting McMaster University’s ORCID Success Story
We’re excited to relaunch the ORCID-CA Community Call series and welcome everyone back for this special event on March 12.
To mark the occasion, we’re delighted to welcome Sabrina Kirby (Research Technology Analyst), Jack Young (Research Impact Librarian), and Jay Brodeur (Director, Digital Scholarship Infrastructure & Services ) from McMaster University Libraries to share their ORCID Success Story, revisiting the very first use case ever presented as part of our regular community call series, back in August 2020.
Six years later, we reflect on how their ORCID journey has evolved, what they’ve learned along the way, and the insights they can now share to the community.
They will present how ORCID has been integrated into institutional systems, initiatives, and workflows, and the value it provides for aspects of researcher profiles and promotion, research impact analysis, and institutional reporting. The presentation will close with a preview of upcoming work, some thoughts about future opportunities for ORCID in the institutional context, and discussion questions for the audience.
This relaunch offers a renewed opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen our national ORCID network. Join fellow members from across the country as we celebrate how far we’ve come and look ahead to what’s next.
We look forward to reconnecting with you and launching this new chapter of the ORCID-CA Community together!
